TEH solution : Elacin ER-20 musician's earplugs
they're not custom made (customs cost about 150€ for a pair) so they're cheap (25€) but they're still comfy over the night and use the same components as the customs
you can find them at any ear-prosthetics shop - btw noticed how there are LOTS of these around now?
it's really better than the foam earplugs you usually find, it lowers the noise by 20-25 dB with a flat response, meaning all frequencies are filtered by the same amount. the sound is just lower, not distorted and it really makes a difference.
cool stuff and a nice christmas present for party lovers

Most instrument-stores have Ultratech EAR-plugs, costs about the same, and considered to be amongst the best for muscians. There is also a clinic in switzerland that can repair your hearing. Costs a small fortune though, but there's hope for everyone.

Sure they do repair ears. They just don't have to be totally fucked up.

I was reading something about the bleeding you have, and it's probably your middle ear, where the eardrum is located. I suggest you visit a doctor immediately.

About that. I've read that 8hrs of 85db (not that much, is it) can cause permanent eardamage. Each adidional 3db speeds up the process 100%. That means only 1hr of 94db could cause permanent eardamage
Most parties are much louder, and take a while longer than 1hr... how come most people come out fine? (I'm glad my ears are fine tho
) |
100 db, about as loud at the clubs, 10 mins to ear dmg. permant. that's the ringing you hear, thoes are the delicate hairs iny uor cochea that move to specific freq. the tones you hear are the hairs that are dmgged so much they send feedback and your mind think's it's stimulant like noise.
really it's just the damaged hear.
these hairs gett flattened down, and NEVER GROW BACK.
you can goto an audiologist, get a hearing exam to know exacly which freq are degrading, becasue they just do as you get old, regardless, and how much they decrease.
this is why many records have to much high end, it's the first to go.
this gives ou ear dmg, when yuo shove your ear buds deep in yuor ear, and blast away your hearing there, in turn spawning an acceptance for too loud high end, and less and less high end precived because of dmged ears.
a lot of engineers and producers do not know they have ear dmg.
it's not something like blindness, it's just like the world get's quiter, not you hear less.
goto an audioologist , get your hearingh tested, and get custom ear plugs with maxmum attinuation of 15db.
at 100db that drops it down from 10 min to ear dmg, to 85db, 8 hr to ear dmg.
BIG DIFFERENCE
don't even goto clubs without ear plugs, at the least.
after one bear, the ability for your ear to condition against sharp trainsients, by shifting the 3 little bones iny uor ear is gone. this prevents ear dmg. the one bear slows the reaction time for the bones, and the time they can stand against the time is gone.
1 beer.
when i get back to home, i'll have my notes and give yuo the exact details. google it if you actually care that you're makng yourself deaf from club's and iPod earplugs
OH MAN, THERE IS SO MUCH YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW!
audiologist, is what you need to see. custom molded ear plugs, maximum blocking of freq over all freq. it's jsut a little button they put in to do this. they can do whatever the need. just get them to do the biggest and badest sound blocking possible.
save your ears. there gunna go eventually, but right now, your all young, 25 and up you start losing high end. don't speed up this proccess. there are 20 year olds with hearing of 40 year olds now, more than ever.
god, i am glad i didn't goto more than 2 concerts without ear plugs. and the wroest ones, sober.
INVEST IN HEARING AIDS!
no joke. there going to ake a fucking fortune in 30, 20, hell probaly 10 years.
