Put alot of tunes on there and make a crazy intro (not too long) and even name drop once or twice ... the cool way ... like ... a robot would. If I remember correctly from your last mix you're a wicked Disc Jockey. Oh yeah ... drop a couple oldies on there and maybe bust a teaser or two. How can I get a copy? Oh yeah!!!! ... Cover art!

Plus you'd need permission from the artist's record lables to sell their music and then you'd have to pay them a cut. It would be a bootleg otherwise.

produce your own intro...record companies and other listeners love that shit, and form an entire vibe around your cd mmix...dont make it more than about 18 tracks, and dont mess up lol...ive heard so many promo cd mixes that have trainwreck after trainwreck...also make some kid of album cover...it will catch many more peoples and eyes and get them more interested rather tahn if it was jsut a plain cd...goodluck!

and as said before get permition from the artist...that could ge tyou introuble...but if you are selling it for personal price, like only 5-6$ its no big deal..but if you are releaseing on a label you better get them informed Bigup

do not sell it!!!! if i can get an awesome set from a top name dj for free on the internet then I don't think I would pay for a cd by someone. I just give my mixcd's out for free. It is not about the money. for my cd I put a vocal sample as the intro and outro. And i also put a classical song at the beginning. I like to throw people off.

Im planning to get a demo mix sent out to some of my local clubs to hopefully get some proper djing gigs on the go - I wanna know though, roughly how many tracks should I put on there & how long should I make the mix?

I was just thinking about the club owner/promoter having demos dropping through the letter box every morning... are they really gonna want to listen to loads of epic 80 minute mixes? Is a shorter club style set mix a better option? or are they gonna want to listen a longer set & dissect each mix intently?

if you are going to use a cd for promo use to get gigs then def. make it short but awesome. i would put as many songs as you can in about 30 to 40 min. That is the usual length of a set at a club.
