happy tree friends is not funny. i mean i am not sickened by it at all, it's extremely violent, and contrasts with the fuzzy cartoons, but maybe at first there was the shock value. Just how can you find it funny after more than 3 episodes.
When i saw the handy one, where he builds a tree house, it was laugh able, it was accidental, good slapstick comedy. then there's the claw machine which is just brutal and lacks comedic value with horrible timing. it draged on without the benifit of a running gag. An evil idol episode where everyone just dies when the touch the golden statue, which is just excuses to mutliate. predictable.
there is an audience for it. there are people that find pointless violence funny, and are proud of it.
these people are empty inside. i mean it's a frontal lobe comedy, like slapstick comedy, which is the simple childish humor, that takes little intellgence to understand. Since this is not a cartoon for kids, it targets the neaderthals.
These are people that have grown up without even maturing in a slight way, and woulde be damn proud of it or else could not live with the inferiority, either that or they are honestly not able to see it for the same reason they find extreme violence funny, lack of common sence and intellgence.
The lack of comedy comes not becuase of the violence, which loses funny within a half minute of any episode. Now comedy, TURE comedy, comes from enlightenment. something you did not know, or understand. when something random happens you can find it funny because you did not see it coming. you felt stupid and laugh. not exactly that extreme but the laugh woud be due to some part of revalation. an understanding. you relise you probably should or could have seen it coming, but didn't. That's why a repeted joke really isn't funny. you know, you understand.
The only joke really is maybe a scoff at mortality, but i guess the unintellgent are the only ones that don't relise it. Much like a cute bunny would not understand death.
The cute bunny will die, though, every fucking episode. their deaths are the only thing that's a mystery but the outcome is not. a predictable comedy is not fucking funny. it's like hearing a bunch of "why did the chicken cross the road jokes" but subsituting the chicken for another animal. or the method it got across with another. still wouldn't be funny. maybe to a 3 year old.
happy tree friends would be funny for an episode or two, but not an entire sieries, especialy not on tv. They could write enough episodes to fill a landfill, but not enough substance to fill a urine sample cup.

We used to watch it at school, about three years ago, it's really cool
But i think I know all the episodes now...

Halphy has such a good point though. There's no thought put into that cartoon. It's just senseless violence.
Strongbad on the other hand.....is the fucking tits. The men who create that cartoon are pure geniuses. They don't even swear in that cartoon, there's no blood, no sex. If you can create a truly comedic cartoon without using obscene humor, then you're a comedic genius. This of course is just my opinion.....I just thought I'd type it out instead of keeping it in my head.
