Please check out my new track '3 min. build up [far from finished/suggestions?]' and post your comments here!!!
I started this track after hearing glimmer's "any suggestions solidiers". The build up took a long time since there are no loops, its meant to evolve bar by bar. hOwever, I know it goes on too long as a build up and would probably serve better as an interlude or a track you play the morning after at a party or something. Anyways, I made it build up to a track I'm working on now but is barely even started. Still needs way more amen snipping, another bass sound, melody, samples etc. etc. But before I get back too it (time limited with report card submissions due in a week) I would love some suggestions. ... but I'm aware there's clipping and the levels are all messed - I've barely worked on that yet.

nice intro, your ear for melody really comes through in you tracks. I liked this track alot but, like you said, the build up is too long but i would just shorten it and make it the intro for the amen drop that comes in. sub could use a boost too. live drums sound sweeet. everything sound really crisp. do you run your songs through an exteral mixing board?

you did the Squarepusher snare roll!
oh god, this track is so sweet.
i though that before the roll.
i like the long build up. it kept moving, i hear the law for intro build up is they can exsist for as long as they are not annoying. you made it bar by bar, thus it's legit to have it that long. and to supply an awsome drop, well god, i am gunna give this a 4 out of 5, only cuz you're planning on finishing it, so i won't have to resort to a 6.......

HP right...a deff squar pusher feel...very awesome...damn cant remebmer the track he did that this sounds like...oh well...anyway....very cool...
maybe change the sample being used for the melody (not the bass) but the other...it sounds maybe a little too too digital...kind of video gamish..unless thats what you were going for...i really like the bass...the hi's might be a bit too crisp, but sounding nice...maybe a tiny bit repetetive...but deffinitely cool....WOAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! what just happened...its like i entered a paralell universe!!!!! please tell me you didnt program these drums cause if you did im jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......oh man...i was really diggin the first part but i was caught so much off gaurd that like...i dont know what to think...the durm programming is awesome...(i assume these are sampled loops yea?)
suggestions no...deffinitely an interlude type track..but it was a deffinite cool listen!

Everything in the opening 3:30 are programmed using battery and cubase sx, and the second part are loops with hi hats, cymbals and one additional snare programmed over top. Planning on cutting these up a whole lot more, filtering both bass and drums and varying the bass - also I think I'll limit that sound to low mid frequencies with a muliband compressor and add sub to get a clearer bass sound.

The build up and the sound mastering=
the thing is i don't like the main synth, but, eh, that's just me.... The drum section needs maybe a bit more vol to it cause the lead synth goes over them. ohhhhhhh, wait, what the hell is going on at 3.43????????
forget what i said: just awesome, break everywhere, it's like another song in itself!!!!
compress in lenght this thing and that 5/5 for me

Big!
I'm really feelin this track so far. As stickbubbly said, you have a good ear for melody. I'd say definately keep the track as a whole and dont shorten the intro cuz it still progresses throughout the entire 3minuts. The synth after the drop is soundin good but i'd like to see more variation in the main riff like your other songs...especially at 4:47, i'd say change it so it moreso matches the beat. Also, i know its already 6mins long but i'd like to see it longer so that the intro isnt more than half of the track.
Anticipating the next mix of this track

Badboy tune! Proffesional standard surely?
I'd love it if you brought back the more melodic tunes from the start at the end over the top of that heavy bassline, for a bit of euphoric unity, but thats just me. This is the shit Nosrac, thank you for blessing us with this!

Nice stuff, but some of the synths sound like them cheesy 80s synthmusic thingies...
Nice work on the bassline though
Drop: nice stuff. A bit too much of a room-stereo sound to it though, and the amenz need work on the sound.
Although you have plenty of switches, it gets a bit repetetive though...
2.25/5 for the track
2.5/5 for the sound
