I think that problem is that you have old version of battery, this thing happened to me as well, but the latest battery and also new battery2 works just fine.

Sounds a bit like a buffer problem to me, but could be the old version indeed.

I use cubase, and have NI Battery as well, and don't have any problems. I listened to the sample you posted, and could hear the "clicking" you mentioned. My first thought was that the sample mabey has something at the end, although at the end of piece you have each hit individualy, and they sound fine.
hmmm.... Have you tried to uninstall and re-install the software? or play the same piece through the internal ASIO, instead of the external sound card? (if used).
I'm not really sure what is causing the problem, although cubase VST5.0, Cuabse SX, and Cubase SX 2.0 all host the VSTi without any problems.
I would double check the samples loaded, just in case... wish I could be of more help....

problem was with battery 1, solved in battery 2
