Hmmm, who starts his tune right with the bassline? Try adding an intro. Quite nice bassline though.
Drums: quite good sound. Not sure about the woodblock though.
The sweeping metaly sound is ok, but could use some reverb and stuff, sounds a bit dry now.
Ah, transpositon in the bassline. Dunno, wouldn't do that. It's a cheap trick to add variation.
The sound: overall soundquality is quite nice. The bassline could use a bit more bass though. But if you give it more bass, it will conflict with the kick. So, boost the kick around 80hz, make sure it's not too loud beneath that, and give the bassline a boost beneath 80hz. That way they won't fight.
The track is quitz boring. This is because having a bassline, some drums and one effect simply is not enough to keep a track intresting. You will have to add a lot of sound and pads and melodies to make it a real track.
Not a bad first track though.
1.75/5 for the track
2.25/5 for the sound

Only just just getting in to the producing side of things myself so I cant give you much technical advice but, I do think its a nice little roller, drums are quite tight but i think the snare could be a bit heavier & maybe the hats a little more pronouced. I like the bass line & it might go well with a real dark steppy sort of tune.
I do agree with surya in that it doesn't really seem to go anywhere maybe some variation on the drums after the break might liven things up a bit.
Overall a good first effort - I just hope that the first tune I post will be as good as this!

yea, this song has one bassline.
hell 2 basslines would at least be merciful.
that sample's okay. more of envious you used it. it's a trick, get an ax.
it got me swaying the song, but i could never see it for anything more than a cheese video game song.
try to have a different break for the drop's, with a different snare. different bassline for drops also. second drop should be a slight variation of the first drop's bassline.
so you need 2 breaks, and 3 basslines, minimul for any song's you create. old skool they'd have more, but minimaly, you need 2 beats, and 3 different basslines.

**Crushfuck holds his head in his hands with tear in the eye & says - Its true!!!**
In all seriousness though the bassline is something I have been working on fairly early in projects & i normally put a basic intro down then work on building it up after I've got the main body of the tune down.
Im interested to know how other people work though & if you have any pointers for someone starting out, i'd be very grateful!
