Dunno if it is some unwanted software messing with my computer, or something is really wrong with the world's most popular search engine. No matter what I search for I seem to get 75.000.000 results, and nearly the same links??? don't get it...

aargh I hat this shit. it seems to redirect every search engine to this ip "61.131.54.618.cc". only two hours after an ad-aware full system scan & removing over 800 privacy invaders it found over 250 again. And I still have the same problem.
Anyone ever seen this before and know how to get rid of it? About the worst piece of spyware i've seen so far.

Best solution to spyware: Mozilla
Use instead of Internet Explorer, and rest asured most of your spyware problems will be gone
Feel free to try any of them other good browsers out there too, like Opera

Indeed - biggest problem of em all: Internet Exploder
In addition to Surya's comment, Mozilla offers more than one sollution. Firefox is a fast, lighter browser, Thunderbird is a mail-program, and Mozilla Suite is a more complete set (and slower) Mail+Browser+HTML-editor+...
I prefer Opera, it's small, light, fast, includes a mailclient, very flexible & configurable - if you browse the web frequently and consider yourself a "poweruser" - this is imho the best sollution. I personally hate using my mouse too much, for some things it's ok, but hate i.e. clicking the "back" or forward button, alt-left/right do the job a lot faster (and work in most browsers), and opera has an enormous amount of tricks like that. Downside is - it's not completely "free" as the Mozilla software, with what I mean that the version you download shows an ad on top next to some buttons - if you pay for it (39eur - and you have the right to use it on any pc at home), it dissapears.
Also I want to make the remark, there are a lot of things that claim to be "alternative" browsers, like Avantbrowser, Slimbrowser, Maxthon (used to be MyIE2), Crazybrowser, and others - but these actually still use a part of IE do display the HTML pages, so these don't solve the problem completely. They just offer an alternative (Opera or Mozilla-alike) interface, with some additional features. Opera and the Mozilla products actually "draw" the pages themselfs, without needing IE to do it for them - which eliminates that threat

U guys sure have a point, I found the malicious file. Something called dsmanager.dll, an internet explorer plugin. I've heard a lot of good things about firefox. But to be honest I don't really see what can be changed much to a browser, it just displays websites right?

It's all a question about what content of that website the browser allows though. Firefox blocks the malicious pop-ups, spywares, and viruses, IE doesn't do that on its own.

One of the latest tricks is spyware removers with their own spyware built into them.....it's disgusting.

On the surface, yes, but FireFox is faster (really!), more secure and more customizable. And it supports newer internet standards that IE does not support. It's just a better browser in EVERY way!
