not just the repsonse but how much it responds to it, iswhat the freq respons curve is. these cheap headphones i bringt o school are like 20- 22000 or something.... every head phones go deep as 20, it's the high end that varies, better head phones and speakers delve deeper in the sound, but it's just a good bet to cut below 20, if anywhere.....

well what I can say that difference between my previous Technics Rpf300 and new Akg K271 is Huge i hear sounds i've not heard before, and bass sepctrum as well as treble is much better defined and solid.

I cut under 30hz
I know you can hear lower, but you don't need those frequencies to have nice sub going on, and they tend to fuck up the mix, so ditch them!
