No fucking around with this start. Nice big sounding drums - nice rolls - don't sound quantized - that's good. However, a couple of the rolls later on are a bit off. Nice addition of the ride later on. The bass is a bit typical and lacking in the subs. More girth at 2:00 onwards however. The melody that comes in over top is not in key exactly. I'm diggin' the slow style. It rolls out nicely towards 3:00 but then that off key melody comes in again at 3:25. Much better sound at 3:52. This is pretty fucking cool especially considering how it was made. I used to have the Atari520 your old girls little brother I think. My dad used Music Shop software on it - that must of been 1983 or 84. I dragged it out again in 1989 and had my first ever sequencing experience when I programmed every note and beat of Metallica's Shortest straw into it - it sounded aweful.

That's right that the sound got a video game feeling, didn't like it so much, like the way it's coming back at 2.00 but that's all. The snare is so lound, the synth is funny at the end.

considering the fact that this tune was made with ancient equipment
it is not too bad at all
however, I agree with halph-price concerning the snare, which is too loud and personally I would prefer more tempo.
I am curious how your new stuff sounds.

Metalic snare is quite cool. A bit too much reverb though.
Bassline sounds too videogame like.
Hmmm, that leadsound that comes in sounds out of key with the bassline.
Structure isn't very good though. The drums just ramble on, and melodies come and go. There's no real buildup and stuff.
Not very fond of your choice of sounds either.
1.5/5 for the track
2/5 for the sound
