Please check out my new track 'filtered drop' and post your comments here!!!

It's more jungleish than dnb, any suggestions and comments will help, so feel free.

very interesting intro...i liek the breaks, but after that you kind of sa ple the synth you were using...didnt like that...was hoping for some kind of heavy drop...i think you bring in some kind of square basss sample...ehh...i hate square bass...imo it sounds so...i dunno... Tongue i jsut dont liek it...sorry...again i relaly like your braks, but they sound just a tiny bit thin (something i have problems with myself) this track is way long too...doesnt have enough elements to keep a listener into it...everything kind of revolved around that one synth...didnt really like the ending either it...it was relaly random...

wasnt really to my style, and it just didnt sound right...keep it up the work though...

Thanx guys, that push things forward. I fact, that's my second dnb tune as i used to play "live" with sound and using a sequencer is a bit difficult to me. It does sound empty, you're right and that's cause i wanted my drum and my bass to sound right, which i've made from scratch in reason.... I might use sample to get some dirty basses cause there are damn hard to get perfectly right; i'm glad it's not that bad will continue on new stuff or try to cut this one off and add an atmosphere to it.
thanx for reviewing Smile

Very Unique bass sound - never heard anything quite like it. It pitches down a bit too much when the drums come in. There should be a variation drums, hit hats or something when the bass starts hitting signle notes. The filtered sound right at 2:03 sounds very dark - could even loop that. LIke the bass afterwards. Drums need to be louder and some of the bass hits sound like they are overlapping and sound muddled a bit. Not bad but, as said above needs more - try layering some more beats or sounds.

Also, what exactly is your opinion of the difference between jungle and DnB? I've heard many different interpretations in many different parts of the world.

yo! so this is the dnb style i like, great percussion at the begining. I like the drums, bass sounds are incredible and I have to say there is a lot of variation which is good. sound quality is good made. As you said, it's quite junglish than dnb, so I agree with you ... effects and basses definetly.

In my opinion 4/5 ****

Imo, jungle is a lot less agresive than dnb, with some sound going a bit everywhere, pretty melodious i guess, i've got some few stuff from england, that really sound jungle ( goldie, peashay, bukem and so )
Dnb is more powerfull with big bass pumping and responding to big break drum, really uplifting. That's what i get when i lived in the uk in the 90's, where all it begin i suppose...

Glad you like it miki, made with reason and some good refills and filter variations. I'll try to stick to dnb now but i have to say is pretty hard to make compare to basic 4*4 techno stuff...

Intro isn't very intresting.

Filtering is ok

Drums: lack a bit of punch. Especially the snare. Kick seems a bit deep. Hats are a bit too loud, not much.

Changing of the melody of the bassline feels a bit forced. Try making the transition more natural. Your bassline could use a bit more mid, now it sounds a bit muffled.

Comment from my gf: "not much life in thisone" I have to agree. Doesn't have a lot of power or flow, it just goes on a bit.

This track is very long too, considering the amount of elements. It's just quite boring, I'm afraid. Bring in more elements to give it more depth.

The choir sounds towards the end are a bit too loud and feel a bit out of place. Quite trippy effect though Big Grin

1.5/5 for the track
2/5 for the sound
