Indexi was a bosnian rock band popular in the former Yugoslavia. It formed in 1962 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and disbanded in 2001 when singer Davorin Popovi died. Some of their most notable songs are "Plima", "Sve ove godine", "Svijet u kome živim", "Sanjam" and "Bacila je sve niz rijeku", which was later covered by many other ex-Yugoslavian groups, notably Crvena jabuka, and used in many movies, like Lepa sela lepo gore.
Indexi formed in 1962, and their name was derived from the "Index" which was a students' grade log. They began by making instrumental covers of popular hits, but in 1967 started composing. They were known as the "Pioneers of Psychedelic Rock", and were inspired by many bands like the Beatles and Yes.

lol, the music of my youth, well the part of which I had less control of what Im hearing
psychedellic rock, good definition, since mostyl all of it is just rock but you get a chill up the spine off of sheer seriousness of the vibe packed with emotion. a total opposition from the american style of rock

Yeah, definitely. Indexi, Prljavo Kazaliste, Leb i Sol, Galija, Bijelo Dugme... that's quite a music largerly (and unrighteously) unknown to the western listeners.
I am listening to Shpongle right now, "Nothing Lasts" album. Pure musicality. Love it.
