I've had a few life changing experiences (for real)when he's played out round Chicago. His CDs don't do him justice. Definitely one of my top 6 DJs! I could do without his trancier selections though like the Illskillz tune from Dungeonmaster and the weapon remix from Project. The breakdown in that song sucks (IMO)! But the beats + the bass: Wicked!

Maybe sucks is a bit too harsh. They're definitely good tunes but I have a hard time gettin in 2 em. I think they're much better tunes than actual trance tunes. I just don't feel those songs ... maybe another day in my life or a venue where it's just right. When it comes to doin it trancy I really like John B. I used to be a trance head and I still respect the good ole stuff from back in the day. One drum + bass tune that's really cheesy trance d+B 2 me: Honey by D. Kay + Epsilon ... that's not even a bassline ... if it was a bit different that tune would be perfect. I'm not sure what mix i'm talkin about ... but yeah ...
(America definitely knows how 2 do it!)

haha i was searching for dieselboy's biography
and i wanted to know if he did anything besides drum n bass
so i searched for +damian +higgins -dieselboy and i found out that his dad is Bertie Higgins who does some crazy country shit, and Damian is even mentioned in his bio:
quote: |
Bertie is the father of three boys and one girl, and lives with two of his sons, Julian and Aaron in Burbank, CA. His eldest son, Damian, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, is a world renowned recording artist in his own right. He has attained a great deal of success under the pseudonym, "Diesel Boy" and is currently working on his ninth CD release. One of the top junglist D.J.'s on the globe, he performs regularly from London, Cape Town, Budaphest, Hong Kong, New York and all points in between. He has graced the cover of several national magazine publications and Bertie couldn't be a prouder Dad. Julian is a college sophomore attending film school in Hollywood learning to direct movies; Aaron is a senior at Burbank High and Kimberly holds a postition with Southwest Air, the greatest airline in the world. Bertie is also the proud grandfather of Eli William Dauser, Kimberly's young son. |

AND THE BIGGEST LOL IS
BERTIE EVEN LOOKS LIKE DIESELBOY

and he just got a cd out
he had a hit in the 80s with KEY LARGO
mp3 >> http://www.cdbaby.com/mp3lofi/bertie1-04...b62c4f8e61c151f
go and call your mom or dad and ask if they know that shit
quote: |
"My father's musical stylings land him squarely in the world of Jimmy Buffett and adult contemporary 'island music,'" he notes, "far from drum & bass and other kinds of music I get inspiration from. I don't really think that his music and my music really go well together. I've actually joked with him about remixing 'Key Largo.' But in all seriousness I don't think I could get it to work. Sorry, Dad!" |
