Please check out my new track 'Don't STEP alot, it's DARK out there!' and post your comments here!!!
A track made in FL studio 4.01... yeah, I know, the old but proven!
A DarkStep (or similar) track.. I don't know what's happening with meh, but I started creating DARKSTEP tracks nowadays... I may stop, cause I have ideas for sweet tracks... u know, piano, emotions...
nevermind, here is my track. I killed the shit outta meh for EQualising... damn it, I couldn't equalise that bass good... but I did it at the end....
I guess this is ok track, maybe too repetative but still I like it... that guitar melody at the middle of the tune is actually a 3x OSC, so if u want to post you the settings to make one yourself, juz write me here..hehe..
please preview, I can't improve without reading tips and tricks ;)
Made in two days, and 5 hours (continously) of EQing and compression... almost no clipping, and almost every sound sounds clearly... not very complex tune, but enough for dancing or making u mad!
10x m8s!

The beat is very simple, but hard. Im not feelin much sub and your ideas seem to change around a bit too much. kinda like 3 songs in one. Some of your sounds are amazing.
great production i think it just need a bit more structure.

oh, whered'yo get the vocalz,, wicked man,
nice rithmn'shit... could put some more bass or lines at the start (after the first lines)
i don't like the raves (high freqed ones)
oh yeah.. they r ook now..
brake the repeptititivitiness with some nice crashes or longer sounds after a 8 drum loop
nice equin
im very interested if you made the firefight? or you cut it or downed it frm somewhere??
its gots some nice moves right now.. you could do some more with the tu tu tu sounud, even though it fits..
and if its not a downed drjum loop you could play wit the amen abit mor
some variety vit da amen//
everything is quite chrispy, but from my point of view thats not so much important 9(sorry(
i like the snare mettalick thing
okay thats it..
rispek 4 vocs
an peace

aaaa
"BassBoost" kick between 60Hz and 80Hz.
parametric kick:
1) Set EQ Band 1 Level to -18db
2) Set EQ Band 1 Freq to 10 Hz
"BassBoost" bassline in between 75 and 95 Hz.
EQ:
flat
mod the EQ when needed.
the most inportant thing to know is the kick doesn't drop that far down, but the bassline blow the kick.
bassboost is useful for this.
the first bright leads used sounded really fruity. too much almost.
the rest is nice.
yea, reptative, but empty, that's what really kills it.
slight, if unnoticed variations help., just to keep track of beat for dancing. just need to cut some of the loops in half somehow, a differnet noise, or pitch flux. something.
really cool rave, and the distoted kikc is cool.
funky evil voice.
granulize it somewhere, and strech him out long, kinda like the delayed version at the end sounds, granulized. it'll add evil scream to the mix. good for in the center.

Nice start, gives the feeling of church and stuff
Feels nice when beats come in, very smooth, same with hats
Eoee, scary vocals..
Horror movies, lolol
The trancy bass could use a bit more loudness i think. Nice bass-trancy thingy switches there. From 2:30 this part is missing some background bass. (maybe strings) I think the bass should be louder there too. Props, nice stuff at 3+, starting from guitar and so on
Some strings please
Vocals are situated very well :o
Nice end too.
Was a pretty nice track, but imo it's missing strings in some parts. Fix that and i think it'll get better!

Good stuff, like the begining, really good built up and the vocals are wicked: well placed and good tune
but imo, changing at 3.00 is well done but give you the idea of another tune started and i think it would be better if you stick to the first part by modifiing it a bit. Your tune sound "compressed" (don't know if i'm right...) so the bass are not so powerfull, but the hi are ok to me. Btw, good tune, like it

i dont really knwo that this is dark step...breakse are nice and simple...you want to throw some nasty tramen samples in there...rather than this bassline try using a reece of some sort...(albino has some good stuff) keep in mindthat dark/hard step has a lot more agressive breaks...this has i guess an older hardstep feel to it...(i dont knwo if that was your intention)
OH ok then youy drop the tramen sample...try layering it to make it a little less repetetive...drop a heavy kick in there...
i really dont like the melodies of this track...theyre very video gamish witch extremely annoying to me...IMO of course...i think you could also have a boost on those drums...your track seems very empty...and lacking in a lot of areas...i use fruity FL studio too, and there is a lot more you can do with it than you are using
...
I think this is a strong efort but you couldve made it a lot better imo...needs a lot of work...BUT KEEP WORKING!
2/5 track
2/5 levels

Nice choirsound
Vocal samples are too loud
Bassline and drums aren't loud enough in comparison to the choir from the intro
Ah, new snare coming in: sounds really punchy, which is nice. It could use some slight reverb though.
Clear hats too.
Hoover coming in: sounds good
Oh, melody of the hoover changes: sounds too happy now. Try minor chords in stead of major ones. Goes better with dark music
Basslines are a bit overpowered by the drums and could use a boost in the sub regions.
Ah, amen coming in: could use a boost in the hi-end.
It's kinda very straight too, is it a loop or chopped up? You should use a chopped one and rearrange it.
Overall I must say I'm still not a bit fan of your melodies man. They always sound a bit too happy and fun when they shouldn't.
Structure could use some tentionbuilding followed by release here and there too, now it feels kind of flat and unintresting.
1.75/5 for the track
2/5 for the sound (vocals way too loud, bass needs a boost)
