Never been much of a reader, instead if you count in European Comics
some of the best:
- The Forever War (based on the book by Joe Haldeman, so you can count thatone in)
- A New Beginning (sequel to The Forever War, French title translates as: Freedom: Never, scenario by Joe Haldeman offcourse, I don't know if it exists as book too?)
- Dallas Barr (scenario by Joe Haldeman)
- Aquablue
- Universal War One (SUBLIME!!!)

Electric Kid -- haha.....i read this one in 6th grade.....stole it from class.....and still have it!!!
anything Isaac Asimov
anything Ray Bradbury
the Dune series was kickass
most of the books I read aren't fiction though (medical journals, Hunter S. Thompson's books[these are kinda true], Oxford's Companion to Philosophy, History of Europe(dated 1932), stuff like that)
I've got some kick ass musical notation books from the early 1900's and one from 1887!!! nothing like reading about how the ancients(
) used to teach and play music!!!

Westwood created the Dune2 and Dune 2000 strategy games on the first book of this series (which is basicly a very good "action" book). Dune1 was an adventure game made by I think Micropose at the time... (end 80's, beginning 90's somewhere)
Then you have Asimov offcourse, don't think you can get around him
In general - I like reading (not only sci-fi) - but don't have the time anymore

Didn't say anything!
No really, I think DUNE should be recognized as one of the best SF novels/books till now! Should be taught in schools as classic, and future!
Read it and know why!
