You mean the wobling things? Not that hard.
I do it this way:
- Two oscilators same wave (experiment on which sounds best, Square*16 in Malström works fine) and detune one up and one down a bit.
- Set the mod to control the filter envelope and maybe a bit volume too. Experiment with how much of which. The speed of your mod should vary depending on the lenght of the notes. if possible, use a synt where you can choose the length in ticks instead of ms
- Maybe add some slight distortion to spice it up a bit.
Then start playing with the waves and detuning a bit again, and work a bit on the filters some more
Hope that helps?

I often usin WASP pugin to make wobling basses , its easy to make a normal easy wobling bass , and a bit distortion

well, I wouldn't be very surprised, there are producers who prefer to work with audio instead of plugins, but it's not that easy as it seems, it's all question of effects then. With samples you can do thing you can't with plugins and vice versa

Very fuckin cool!! Thank you my fellow souljahs. Also ... those buzzy basslines Hazard + Surge + Clipz are making are even more simple to produce. If you didn't know already ... (1) make a bassline just using a big phat sine wave. (2) Then ... take that same bassline + create a copy of it you can mess with. (3) Drench that copy in distortions. (4) Hi pass your distorted bassline so it's just the hi freqs. Should sound very thin. (5) Place your hi passed copy ontop of the original sine + adjust some levels + there you go. The gate may open ... the gate may open ... A few tunes i'm feelin right now that utilize this technique are: Clipz _ Supa Ugly, Hype + Daddy Earl _ Original Foundation (Majistrate Rmx), Surge _ Chessboxing, Hazard _ World of Darkness, + Twisted Individual _ Cannibal Lunch (Surge Rmx).

aight, I tried it too, and found out its quite easy.
the zeta way
- choose a saw wave, set to mutliple (gives this kinda hoover), or anything else reecy (detune two saws)
-bus all osc to one filter (for the beginning, play with it later), i chose a 24dB lowpass, cut-off in the middle
-lfo: set to 'sine' wave, sync to '1' (periode of lfo is 1 bar), set phase to 180 degrees: this means the lfo will start in the middle (at zero crossing of sine), go down (wwoo sound) and then up (whaah sound), this phase is very important!!
- in modulation matrix: put lfo1 to control the filter cut-off
- increase attack time on amplitude a bit
voila, your done
of course, this will give you a bit of a boring wobble, but the 'movement' is there (thus the wobble effect), add effects to get the sound your after. note also that your 'wobble' is out of sync with your beats (due to phase difference), so start your notes 1/2 earlier, so the top of the wobble coincides with the beat (not correct, need to move it around a bit apparently), . just play with the waves, other filter, just keep the lfo going.
if requested (and webspace available), i can post the zeta patch
happy wobbling
