okay i'm trying to tupload my avatar and i've kind of been successful only that when i resize the image it ends up fuckin it up and it has to be well small.
i only say this because some of you lot have avatar's that are far higher resoulution than mine

am i resizing it incorrectly

the microsoft help files tell me there is only 3 ways to resize a picture and i've tried all or em apart from scanning an image or sumfin

anyone got any ideas ?? Confused

trust me on this

for web you don't need to go higher than 92dpi

best thing to scale your pictures to the size you like is.
this old but simple rule

what you need / what you got x 100 = reprofactor.
so the reprofactor tells you the % your image has to be scaled.
if you know the tricks... you'll never make any bad low res images anymore.

free tip from me!

Resizing should be done in some DECENT program, like Photo Shop or Paint Shop Pro. Do the resizing Bicubic (=better than bilinear or nearest neigbour or whatever). Make sure it's no bigger than 100x100 and 10000 bytes (the limits of this site). Save in gif with as many colors as you can without going oversize.
