I rather think dose has potential as an mc, he has a good voice for it, if he would do some practice on his rhymes and rythm he can become a good mc Pleased

i got the feeling more and more people start with the mcing thing unprepared
with 5 days mcing "experience" and they get booking from day one

and for me that means those people don't see it as a serious thing either cause one should get experience first and gigs AFTER

anyone agrees?

That's what I explained in the "how to become an mc" post... It's not just screamin' "a bunch of usual expressions" (Inside/Rewind/Come on/Make some noise/...) on the mic.... It's about lyricism; punches/metaphores/word play used in order to express or illustrate a certain content that's relevant for the ravers/crowd. Or to explain situations/ideas in life by the use of metaphores 'nd punches...

So I fully agree on this one./.

Yeah but same goes for spinning, everybody spins nowadays, bit same thing if you ask me, the time only superb dj's got booked is over, imo something like that is happening with mc's too. For some a pitty in my eyes something good, fresh meat on the table doesn't hurt, the bad meat dies anyway Wink *think bout it* And yeah people like DOC know what it's all about, its a part of their life, that's what makes them good, they understand every aspect of it, so they won't loose their job cause of some amateurs Smile

(cause this came after the mc manix post, well on payback he's doing it for the fun, but if he would work on lyrics, rythm etc he can become a good mc imo - rest of the evening will be hosted by mc eleven, one my favourites atm - very nice mc imho)

yeah the mc from brussels who does a lot of parties is
mc champatha - great!

also there is a good MC called MC Stoneman in Wallonie, who does ragga-flava'd jungle stuff with Hydra and the Atomic Spliff Soundsystem (a real underground ragga & jungle soundsystem who do parties in Andenne and Huy with their DJ Mr Regulah)

oh and I also am a vocalist, do mostly singing but also a bit of MCing. I have played out with Saiko (Hydra) and with Miss Elorak (Stress Da Bass)

My name is Lotus. Smile
