I don't know if some of you have a modded computer case? Anyway, I had the idea for doing it for a year now, and I spend some time this week working on it. The result:
It's a simple mod:
- Big window in the side
- Painted in black with the details in grey
- Blue CCFL
- Custom rounded cables
Still have to do my keyboard, but my pain was finished Big Grin

In the upper part of the case there should come a CCFL too, but I haven't found one yet that fits in there.

clean and simple mod job
if you want to see some real wacko casemods i'd suggest you take a look at the mods they post at the casemod section of shrimpwars and seek out the links too !

i once did a cheap mod job myself, it was a case all made out of k'nex (u know, these bars and click thingies, similar to lego but another system)
don't use it anymore tho, it wasn't the easiest of cases to cary around to lans and such so i put everything back in my ugly painted aopen case ...

got some extra cooling on the inside but that's it, no fancy stuff ...
call it light tuning instead of modding ...

4 hours spread over 3 days.

I saw some wacko ones on shrimwars yeah, and on crazymodders.be (automatic drinksvendor, anyone Big Grin

)

Saw a lego mod too. Nice, but if you drop it... Big Grin

Yeps saw the knex model , nifty
but not very handy indeed
and I remember the light tunig with the screwdriver
...
my comp is still as normal as import goods
But have allready seen some crazy shit and not particular on shrimpwars ... Cool

Painted my keyboard too now. Case is black, enter, shift, ctrl and buttons like that are in the gray. Left the normal buttons in the original color tho.

My case weighs like 20-25 kg =/

I made a fanbus; got a window; and Had blue ccfl's [broke'em all =////]

Especially proud of my fanbus =]
Hooked up to 2 80mm coolers; one big motherfucking 120mm cooler [sounds like my case is taking off] and one Standard 12V auto-cigarette lighter =]]
But I'm to tam to paint my shit; so I might as well buy a new case...

But still want to put wheels under it.

Had to make a site for school that's IT related. Made one about casemodding.

Has a stupid intropage, but I had to use an animation using layers and a timeline, so I did it that way...
