I think it's time for some info on our special guest:
DJ PRESSURE
Dj Pressure is the Irish force of the Red Zone crew. Living in Amsterdam for a couple of years now, this man has proved to be a great allround dj and a firm Red Zone resident. With a second place in the BEST DJ category in 2002 (Dutch DNB Awards) and a number one position in 2003, this is one of Holland's prime movers!
Pressure is an Irish born dj, whose love for drum 'n bass started back in 1991. After his move to the Netherlands in 1997 he was snapped up by the now defunct Fusion nights at Mazzo, Amsterdam. His talent was soon spotted and so he went on to become a resident at the Bullitproof nights @ Mazzo for 3 years. Besides this he played loads of Amsterdam gigs, he also was a resident dj at the huge Ignition parties at Melkweg (organised by Boeng Diepie) and @ Retox (at various venues including Club More, Item and Hotel Arena). In the meantime he played at a range of nights in The Netherlands and abroad (Hungary for example). Since mid-2002 Pressure's home base has become Red Zone with members in Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Hilversum. Red Zone took the Best Dutch DNB Crew 2002 Award in last year's Award Ceremonies. Pressure himself got voted 2nd in the Best DJ category. One year later, at the same Awards, Pressure took the 1st place in Best DJ, with fellow Red Zone member Nymfo on 2nd place. Pressure is a resident at both Red Zone nights, Threshold in Amsterdam (organised by Future Research) and Subversive Renaissance in Amsterdam (organised by IchiOne). Only recently he moved to Rotterdam.
Pressure's style actually is to not stick to any style! He prefers to play whatever he's feeling at that moment. Because he has been into drum 'n bass for so long, he's got a good oldskool background which reflects in his sets now and again. His selection is very mature, and he's good at taking people on a journey towards more deeper beats. His favorite dj's are "story tellers" too : Doc Scott, Fabio and Bukem. Pressure has, through the years, played with many uk artists: Photek, Dj Lee (5x), Ed Rush (4x), Optical (3x), A-Sides (4x), Suv, Andy C (3x), Usual Suspects (3x), Total Science (2x), Bad Company, Storm, Dillinja & Lemon D, Fierce (4x), Jay Jay, Randall, Fabio, Dphie (Cyantific), Kasra, Loxy (2x), Ink, Dylan, Facs, Friction,Spirit,Digital,Shy Fx,keaton,Universal Project,Goldie,Teebee etc.
