Couldn't enter the forum last nite. Got some kind of SQL problem if I recall correctly... Anyone noticed anything? The main site worked fine.

Yes it's a thing that has been come up recently. It has occurred 4 times up to now and has to do with an upgrade of MySQL to 4.0.12. This has been affecting many forums worldwide, and not only WBB, but also major ones like vBulletin. Somehow the database tables become corrupt. It's quite easy to fix but it can sometimes take some time because I have to be behind my PC...
Hopefully in the next update of MySQL the bug is fixed, because it is a major problem for a lot of forum admins...

It was the private messages database that had crashed, causing all pms to be inaccessible...
It's worse when the threads database crashed, the entire forum is inaccessible then + I have lost at least one thread

Yes it happened again
We're still lucky though, I read that on some forums this happens daily...
I have made a script today that fixes the problem and can be started by the moderators. So when it happens, it will take less time - as soon as a moderator notices it it will be fixed in a couple of seconds, which is better than having to wait until I get home at night
