the noiser generator in subtractor had this problem in the first version so I guess they aint gonna fix it now either. not that its a big issue, its only a part of the synth I doubt anyone uses, at all.
the delay and the eq bugs are new, tho

Several performance and CPU usage issues have been found. We continue to investigate all issues, but we have confirmed a problem with scrolling as well as bugs in the MClass Equalizer, the DDL-1 delay and the Subtractor's noise generator, which could all cause occasional high loads on the CPU. |
i think they tried to hide that one. |
Yeah, indeed. Huge problem with me. In 2.5 I had to load 5 or 6 tracks to run out of CPU power, now I have tracks where I have to mute a lot of channels not to run out. I have this track where I have 2 patches that both use up about 50% of my CPU power, although they're just a synth with some delays and reverbs! Not good! Really sucks ass! I have to make each channel with most of the otherones muted and then do a bounce to hear the result

thats awful, it seems like they used the rewire function internally for the combinator ?? wild guess, but it figures since rewire uses a lot of cpu too.
rewiring inside of reason -> total crap -> forces you to upgrade computer -> makes everyone mad!!!

shiiiiit..is this true ('bout rewire-function used for combinator internally)?
i rewire all the time and indeed it is heavy on process-power. I've got used to this (bouncing stuff ) but i don't think my current set-up will appreciate another application demanding lot's of process-power....
Although i wanna check the combinator out asap...
..... sticking to 2.5 for now.

The combinator is great, but it does eat up your CPU fast

well mister daze_dnb
why don't you then just rewire only at the end?
99% peeps i spoke with only rewire at the very end.
saves alot of TIME, EFFORTS, and CPU
if you wanna use vst. just rewire it. play your thing bounce to audio and switch off the vst. (in this case, the device is still there, i just doens't eat cpu)
just my little 2 pennies.

well mister Saphir,
All my fx are from cubase..
so the longer i can wait before bouncing, the better
Of course i bounce stuff (duh!), thanx for stating the obvious!
My point was: i really don't need another application that eats up my
power.

Ok, ladies, let's get this over with:
I carefully reread the last three posts here, and i cannot but come to the conclusion that a misunderstanding has slipped in here.
I don't think there is such thing as a smartass-attitude, just one person trying to help another.
I'd suggest that people thorougly think their replies through before they post smt with this sort of touchy-ness.
I know Saphir in real life quite well, and i KNOW that he was just trying to help.
And just for the record: I'm FAR from taking sides here.
Let's keep this forum healthy and constructive.
tnx

Yeah indeed from reading it I can only conclude that Saphir just wanted to help out.
It might be obvious to you but could be very helpful for other people. I don't think of people as smartasses for sharing their knowledge btw. This is something many are grateful for, I'm sure that lots of producers have a much faster progress in their skills thanks to the smart ass replies of others on this site.
