the combinator will give you alot of freedom..
mixing wav's with maltrom synthz etc.. i think this will ceep us warm for a year..
now you finaly can make wonderfull padds with wikkid architectures..
and oooh FINALY the mastering part!
thatz the real shit i've been w8ting for!
hope they add a previeuw thingy on combinators zo you can record something live and preview with headphone and then let it come in with a fade.. for the public :-)
that would be THE bomb for me ! real live shit

Where did you hear this soundbank? Planning on buying the official 3 version, and if the soundbank is utter crap, i'll stick to 2.5.

The soundbank is the same, with addition of new presets, most of them for the new units.
I heard the soundbank on my own PC

Well, they couldn't let out the previous presets, now could they? Could give fucked up results with old tracks if you used them...
But it's expanded, and there are quite some fun Combinator presets to play with - although they do suck for use in decent tracks, but fun anyway

yeh, but an extendend soundbank would have been nice. F.e.: if you buy the standalone official version: you get all the previous stuff with version 3 + new sounds, or if you go for the upgrade: upgrade + new sounds.
But then again, i don't work @ Propellerheads. So far for the good ideas..

now noobs are going to have music that sucks too. but maybe, sucky presets arn't bad, because the good sounding ones are full freq noises, that sound good in a solo, but when used with other sounds just gobble everything up.
but i highly doubt it.

Anyway, it's WAY SLOWER than 2.5. It says you need a 300Mhz PIII to run it. Could be, but I highly doubt you'll be able to run it with much more than one Subtracktor. I have a 1.1GHz, and I get MUCH higher CPU loads than with the previous version. OK, I was planning a PC upgrade, I really NEED that now!
