i have a problem
i have some good melody's on 140 bpm
can i turn the bpm off the beat up to a D'n B tempo without touching the bpm of the melody (140bpm)
help me out here ! Frown

if you want to sync it with the drumnbass tempo [usually 170-180 bpm] you must have to change the bpm, but if you mean not to change pitch of it, just use timestretch instead of pitchshift

hmm if I understand right you want the melodies @ 140bpm and the beats @ let's say 170 bpm?

I don't think it's gonna sound right..

anyway, use timestretch like B-complex said

er...if you change the tempo of the beats then you need to change the tempo of the melody, either half speed, double speed or the same. You can time stretch the melody although this is often noticeable, personally if your feeling the melody at 140, why not make a nu skool breaks or garage tune, it can still be dark and nasty (or whatever) if your not familiar with breaks check botchit and scarper, mob records, marine parade and whole nine yards. and as for garage, er.... well forget about garage, some of its good but most sucks ass and is really cheesy, commercial shite.
