Nice intro, but there's not a lot of action at the beginning. Then the awesome build-up into the spacy vibe.
From 4min00 it's great but you should still put more action in the tunes for more variation.

Great song, with cool build-ups and amens

4/5

THANKS PEEPS, YO KAREEM THE THING WITH BREAKS IS THE INTROS ARE USUALLY MORE REPETITIVE AND SAMEY THAN DNB JUST CAUSE ITS A BIT DIFFERENT FROM MIXING DNB, THE TUNES ARE USUALLY CUT A BIT QUICKER AND NOT LEFT IN THE MIX SO LONG, BUT THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK

yep , nice.
like the airoplane buildup, and cool bass waspers
nice notes.
i would prefer more playing around with the hats (and louder if possible) but maybe thaz just my subjective feeling
needz variation yeah
eq perfect (bit lower or shorter kicks)
bit higher hats
sometimes it gets a little bit repetitive
like the build up at 3:50 very much, but after it you could have put some more sick different kicks or snare play.
make the laughing voice pitch down, and more evil, that would sound cool
bitwise, xtra
give 4.5/5
flow

Liquid breaks style track, a lot slower than most dnb but def a dance track and not a chill track. It's a style I'm not too familiar with unfortunately...

Have listened a couple of times now, what is very noticeable to me is a lack of mid frequencies, the bass is really deep, the other sounds are quite high and there's not much happening between 200-600Hz roughly. Choosing a thicker bass sound would go a long way in solving this.
There's also a faint metallic clicking sound in the break which I can't really pin down but is not really pleasing to my ears. It could either be transient artifacts in the encoding, or an (intended) part of the percussion line, some kind of hihat ghost notes perhaps? I also hear some other strange artifacts, a repeating metallic sizzling noise which I first thought related to the bass, but it's something else, you can hear it continuing when the bass stops at 5:23. I think it's a part of the break sample.

The kick and snare sound very nice, as do the leads. Hihats may be a bit louder. Bass could be more solid as I mentioned already. Apart from the hole in the mid the mix is really well done, sound levels are excellent, good effects and compression. Really like the reverb on the snare and the use of delays on the background sounds (especially the one on the rising sound that comes in at 1:04, great!!)

Bassline and melodies are good, really love the lead that comes in at 1:27, nice catchy melody with lovely layered oscillators Pleased

There is not a lot of variation in the track, but it's not boring at all. I suppose it's typical of the genre to have longer winded tracks with less variation, reminds me a bit of the buildup of techhouse tracks. Thinking of it, this could very well be played in a techhouse set.

I'm not sure how to rate it though, it sits between a 3 and a 4 on my scale (= between good and excellent, there's been some confusion about our ratings lately Wink )

It's called Nu Skool Breaks which sometimes sounds like non commercial 2-step, sometimes like too slow DnB, sometimes like slow electro influenced DnB. Quite intresting style imo. At warriorz whe had a DJ spin a whole set of this shit. Nice.
If you like it, check out the Plump DJ's works... Groovey!

Well made, but you need some more mid on your synths indeed. Could shake to this!

4/5
