I only use FL, no reason, no logic, just fruity.
well, basicly because I cant afford them, but actually Im really happy with FL Studio 4.5
by the way: do you know 'Concord Dawn'? they produce with Fruity too. Some songs are made just with FL studio and nothing else.
Check them out. They are pretty hard, and it really sounds great.

How did you find this out? Just outta curiosity. Seems weird 2 me.
Had a dream I met the guy from Concord Dawn at some kinda knife bar last nite. Except he was that brother from Black Sun Empire. Almost cut his face by mistake. Weird right?

concord dawn only made a couple of songs on FL......and once out of FL it went through a couple thousand pounds of professional studio hardware......so that's not the same as a home user.....but it does go to show that you can't base your opinion of software on the little odd shaped fruit on it's box!!......except for Macintosh.......in which case we all know about the fruit!!

I haven't used FL untill now, but heard quite some stuff made with it, mostly Hiphop though... And I must say that what I heard was quite professional sounding to me, so I guess it's like stated before: The man behind it makes it work not the software...
Though there is some crappy software out there off coz...
I know this guy (won't state names) who makes his living with what he gets out of a laptop and a softwareprogram costing 350¤ in any softwareshop. His songs are produced& released, and now even played by some BIG names in DJ-world. The only thing is, he's a fantastic musician, and knows his software really good. I was a bit shocked to find out that he only used such a cheap program to make his music, in addition off courze with thousands of samples he made/played himself during the last few years, and it made me realize you don't need to have a whole 'homestudio' to make good music, but what you need is perseverance, talent, and lots of patience..

fruity gets a bad name cuz out of the box its just a Porsche. You gotta gut it out and beef it back up with solid samples and a load of vst's and vsti's. also you need a good sound card plus you need to run it with the volume control panel set with wave all the way up and the normal volume alll the way down and adjust the volume at your external amp or the little knob on the back of your powered reference monitors. Now what you have is no longer a Porsche now its a RUFF Porsche.
the only beef i have is the large increments that the volume adjust at on the mixer but with sweet vst's this is no longer a problem.
