I like venetian snares an' aphex twins, but i do not try to copy them (as much as i know) heh It's based on some drumnbass ('coz thaz my biggest love) but it has probably influence from different places. It got me all hyper. I liked all the distortion and devience. The beats sounded like they were a steamy machine gone haywire. I can hear maybe some Druqks influence in there that was probably subconsious. Not much for a bassline but then maybe thats not the point. Definitely got me feelin the same way I feel when my cousin's blastin some squarepusher in his deep dark basement. The only thing I can say is maybe do some triplets type things in there with the drums or something a little less 4/4. What would u consider this??? I love the begining. I guess the sound of the begining is the sound of the snare, no? 2. TAKE THOSE DISTORTED SOUNDS AND VOLUME THEM DOWN NOW! ! ! All I can hear here is a bunch of overdriven sounds that create distorsion on my big speakers, and I can't hear a thing! Even when I compress the track with Sound Forge or sumthing, it is still not very comprehensive. A good tip: add a compressor or soft clipper to the distorted channels, and limit the gain to 0 or -7 dB so that all the sounds can be heard. Like this, and nobody won't hear anything. 3. A bit (2 much) of Aphex Twin influence, nope? 4. Put a decent kick. The distorted kick is ok, but layer it with a normal kick. The distorted takes too much sound space in dB, and other sounds cannot be heard. 5. I like the bass sound, and for more power you can layer it with a normal sine bass (make one with 3x osc) which will follow the same (or different!) bassline Not particulary fond of the genre (actually, I don't like this kind of music) but your technical background is ok. 3/5 4 ya! -Muad'Dib -2004 __ Thinking about becoming an Image-Line/FL Studio customer? Aphex twins iz IDM and drillnbass, an hiz got smthn like a certain softness in his whole anger-style. i try to polarise the extreemes. 4.yeah thaz a good idea, i should calm the kick (restrain it, not kill the dist.) 5. Sorry but' i hate the normal sine bass (only it's manufactored alternatives ar good, i dono, it sound kinda lame 4 me, sometimez. CMON MAN, you know me, you know i know SHIT (in the bad sense ufcourse) methinks aphex woundt fiddle wit such bass.
