i think you want to know how to automate stuff Confused

anyway, just push 'record' button in pattern mode, or song mode (this last will create the 'main automation' pattern), you hear it ticking down for 1 or 2 bars, than the song/pattern starts. Move a button you want to automate while the music is playing, it stops after the pattern/song. Turn of the recod button, press play, and fruity will 'remember' what you did, no matter what it was; e.g. turn a button in a mixer/synth/sampler

second method; right click a button (if a record (red button) is highlighted in the upper left screen), select 'automation', draw in what you want the button to do. Best is to do the 'record' thing described above first, then fine-tune with this method, if you reacted to slow in the beginning or something.

If it's a synth, press the red 'plugin button' in the upperleft corner of the wrapper in which the synth is loaded, than select automation, than select the button you want to automate.

extra fruity mixer tip: fruity seems to want you to use effects in parallel; instead, try a series sometimes. Just load an effect in 1 channel, select the output (down right in mixer window), which is standard set to 'master', and select another effects channel, and load a different effect in the channel you selected etc. etc. the last one in the chain must remain routed to the master of course. This may be usefull to start thinking what fruity does here: adding distortion, like what you hear, but to much low freq. An eq in parallel won't have as much effect as an eq in series, cause the parallel only affects part of the signal.

Anyway,hope this helps Bigup

U can do 2 sorts of automation seen in time, that's where u have to watch out when programming or recording it, else it will loop over and over again. So If you want to put automation over your entire track, select an empty pattern in your playlist. By standard pattern 10 will be set to main automation, but if u allready used it for something else u can do it with any free pattern. If u want the automation to go with one of your loops, select the pattern wich contains the loop first, then automate either by drawing or by recording.

If u need more explanation on the mixer, just ask. It may be a bit confusing at first. U have to set the FX channel in the sample settings in order to assign it to a mixer channel. Then u can add up to 8 effects for each track, if u put the mixe channels in series like wicked_wayz described, u can use even more.
