this track says the "f" word more than the movie "scarface" the intro is quite empty, the synths are cheesy. this isnt the type of dnb that should get produced. it seems theres too much anger in this song somehow but it doent make it a good song.

sorry im with hedset on this one, i like the idea of the track but i think you need alot more time spent on the beats they are very very blandand that irritating hihat youve got all the thought - ouch, it hurts my brain, but i do like the bass melody and the vocali think it would be much cooler if you give it more of a roni size or total science style of beat.

2.5 for me sorry Bigup keep ya chin up and dont stop creating!!!

Intro sounds are nice: Right frequency, right reverb, followed by a too sudden change to the main beats+bass
The way your beats and bass are interrelated are nice.
I dig the almost psychedelic aciiiiid-sounding synths

break + drop!!! niiiiice!! Really like it.

General: i totally dig the twisted/detuned/almost false (and almost clownstep) basslines + synth. No kiddin.
Maybe you could use a deep/almost unhearable/unnoticeable synth, something that 'glues' the rest of your ingredients together.

The drums could use some 'filling', some 'body', now it's just kicks, snares and hihats, try layering an amen or whatever underneath it. Your drops probably will be heavier.

Nice dreamy intro.

Synth kicking in: sounds a bit dry man. Add a slight delay and/or reverb to it!
Drums: don't really like that kick, if sounds a bit... dunno... not that good. Snare is good though.
Drop: quite allright, quite cool bassline. Rides are too agressive though.
Not sure if the dreamy pad fits in here.
There's a really annoying click quite early on in the vocal. Try filtering it out a bit, it hurted my ears!
The snare with all the reverb (or is it a gunshot???) is quite cool, but too loud.

Not bad, but needs work.

2.25/5

(this is a message from dj common that i recieved in my mailbox)"this isnt the type of dnb that should get produced" What kind drum and bass should be produced? the kind of unoriginal, dark drum and bass people have been trying to emulite for years, but just can't ever get it right becasue its been done before and better a thousand times? oh you mean the kind of music you make? oh yeah that makes sense..........Fuck you" ok, i got dissed like that because i rated his track a 1. i sent him a reply, but i didnt save it, then i got another one in my message box (i am not a hater, and infact i support everybody trying to make music and do their thing. i just made a song today and im about to upload it. i want you to listen to and tell me what you think. and if you give one more 1 i will give you a one for everysong you make........lets keep this civil<-------------unquote. i feel you that youre angry, but it seems that i found your last message filled with contradictive statements, first of all if your not a hater, why try to threaten to give all of my tracks a low rating, why do that deliberately, i was fair and honest, and i dont feel i deserved to get disrespected. youre not the first one on this site that has gotten a low rating, if anything my first 3 track we rated pretty low and i didnt even flinch, i just kept making dnb track with more motivation and presicion. i dont think i remember sending anyone a message saying, oh? my track, blah, blah, blah, fuck you. second, and this is in general, if ANYONE wants to produce music, whether its dnb or house, or whatever genre has to prepare themselves to be extremely criticized on their work. people loved nirvana as all hell and curt cobain coulnt handle the fame and took his life. and if you cant handle criticizm from this stage, imagine if you become famous.even if you get 4 stars on every single track you upload on this site, you think its easy to drop an album in the calibre of, lemme think, resonant evil, bad company, dylan, dom, high contrast, how long on the list must i go. i make tracks because i love the genre, i was there when it first appered on the scene, i pushed drum and bass to virgin ears in and around new york city, puerto rico, brazil and other places. maybe i am unoriginal, and i try to emulate tracks, even though no one has told me that yet, how do you think dnb artists make it, by listening to the music and saying, yeah, maybe ill do this instead, itll sound the shit, is that emulating? everything in this site is original, look at all the tracks that have 3 or 4 star rating, actually, even the lower ones, they sound pretty original to me. im just saying, its not bad to get a low rating, it should inspire you to become a great producer like we all inspire to. now to me, i call that....civil Bigup

lol this is quite nasty... usually if someone can't make something properly he use to say "hey ! i am way too original, i just don't like the mainstream and stfu" Smile
Something like those pm should never happen in healthy community imo Smile

For the last time: if you don't want negative reviews, don't post your track anywhere! You'll always get negative reviews, some might be very harsh. As long as the comments are what the reviewer feels, it should be that way. Reviews should be, above all, honest. It's everybody's right to think your track sucks and to say that. It's called freedom of speach. And you shouldn't hate them for it, it just means your taste is different than yours. Nothing to do about that. So don't go dissing someone for not liking your track. Not ever!

And now peace Big Grin

Hmm indeed if you can't take criticism you shouldn't post your tracks here. The stuff you posted here is far from perfect to be honest, people that tell you otherwise don't know too much about producing and sound, sorry.
The guys here give their opinions to help you improve, not to piss you off. I can very well understand that hedset is upset. You should be glad he's reviewing your stuff, even if he's giving bad comments!!

Review:
Like this better than your r&b inspired tracks. Some melodies are ok, especially the weird jumpy ones, but some should be changed (eg the one that starts at 1:52 is pretty bad, get more rhythm in it instead of keeping it a static 8/8). Get rid of the vocal, really doesn't fit imo.

Sound effects too loud. Low end is getting better, but still needs more. It's mixed very upfront, with too much emphasis on the high end, and lack of bass and mid. Sounds empty this way. Try to mix on speakers that don't have the bass turned up.

Drums can use more variation, basic rhythm is ok but too static (also the rides and hihat are too static, experiment with swing or human quantize).

Also you really need to spend more time on your tracks, they all sound like they're made in a couple of hours, just slapping some stuff together. When you make tracks, work on it for a few days, then start something new, then after a week get back to it and see if you still like it.
