Any one have any tips on song structure?
or maybe a point in the direction of a person place or thing that can give me a hand with this?
IM having problems gettting the structure of the whole thing down

So any tips would be apprecaited...

thanks man that has helped and i think its renewed my interest.. cause its hard to keep upbeat when you dont know anything and people tell you you need more practice... Smile

that tutorial on spin warp is helpfull but you dont have to do every track like that. good basis for a tune is to have things be anticipated by the listener one way to do that would be through timing, (every 32 beats you should have some sort of fill or percusion pause and every 64 beats you wanna really build and release. if you wanna make it dj friendly have 4 full 64 beat sections of intro drumming and another 64 beats for the break before the drop. As long as you follow the 16 , 32, 64 beat rule it will work with other tracks. But nothing is set in stone. anybody who is musicaly trained will laugh at my comment because this is how all music is ussally created. if you listen to almost any tune you can break it down to sections by counting the beats.
basic stuff i know but this is very helpfull if you didnt allready know it.

yeah i used it for all of 2 days and foud it really rigid. THat seems to be a problem for me the set way of doing things is too rigid and the way i like to do things is not "friendly" enough.

Ah well anyone know a middle ground? Big Grin

do it "their" way until you got it masterd. once you know the all the rules then you can break them.
