i wonder how they do that bassline
if i tweak hard i hardly get a similar result
i mean that growl, could they use an extra filter to shape that certain part?
i've tried it in a tune (clenshed fist) on my demo a while ago with the cutoff and a chorus swing rate very slow, a graindistortion with heavy distortion and going ez on the volume to get that drop.
got me a similar yet lesser growl.
quite sure that isn't the "right" way

sick tune idd
about the bassline, don't know how they've done it, but hopefully I will in some time
can't you stretch it (preserving the pitch), and then hear it?
or is the digital sound qualitiy not good enough for those kind of things (probably not I would think)

You could stretch it yeah, but that won't make you understand what filters and such they used to make it I'm afraid...

check also this
i like the bass even more in that one, although the drums are less than in the tune you mention
no idea how to make it, i can get a bit close by chaining distortion on a reece with a lot of movement, izotope trash is good for this, chained with greasetube, sc overdrive, quardafuzz...

backgroundpads aswell
don't believe they are wizards mate...

Try to (If you work with FL) :
>first filter the bass 'n place em mono
>then check Fruity Blood Overdrive and turn 'x 100' on , allso set your PreAmp(this thing pumps up yo bass!) and set your PostGain (=velocity --> take care that you place it on zero before you turn on x 100 or your boxes could blast out!)
>then select the Fruity Compressor to controll your decibels and to keep your bass clean.
notice that the sound gets better if you touch the amp-velocity (right side on mixer-master) and turn it Right.
Try it out...
