the trumpet in vst or even in hardware synth's always SUCK bigtime. the sound like cats who just where ran over by a hoovercraft with massive metal tentacles comming out from under!!! i havent got any alternatives but to play them yourself or someone else or try samples for real sound trumpets!!! for example reggea-bands where the blow-section is complete synth-wise, dont sound as natural as bands with a flesh and blood one.
I dont belive in synth-trumpets.
sorry man!!!
cheers

i want a fake ass trumpet for my funkey techno
album
gimmi gimmi gimmi
you said youve seen them before?
i havent, but if i took one trumpet synth VSTi
1 flanger, 2 reverbs, 1 cross delay, and a stereo
inhancer PLUSS a funkey rythum,
magic would happen
i never saw a trumpet synth in my whole life.

ok - not healthy for the keyboard when reading this while drinking some water... damn man....
But I agree with you - synthetic trumpet sounds suck. My nephew sampled some himself (played by a pro-trumphet player), I'll ask if they would be available for public use.

Try Bitheadz product - Unity DS-1 (synth) and of course trumpet bank (*.uds). The best one

lol this thread is funny
I've heard some cool trumpets in the Korg Z1 and Korg Prophecy, but true they don't sound like the real thing.
Wouldn't count on VSTs to accurately render a trumpet, it's a really complex sound.
Try the local fanfare and say you have a crate of beer at your place! Bet they're all of a sudden willing to participate
