just got a new program and am looking for hits. snare and bass so i can program em to my liking anyone knw a place?

there is stuff like that on our downloads page.

also if you need special combination hits,
the style were multiple instruments and percussions
are combined into one unique layered perc,
well i could make a few for you if you were
specific.

his jx-305 stuff will work and i can compress it and shape it all to my liking? cause the samples they givve you with FL is just too lame..and i wwl drop you a line if i need help thanks man/..

For percussion (especially snares): layer, layer, layer... It's been 2 years since I used only 1 single snare sample in my tracks, now I have AT least 2, mostly 3 or 4 layered.

now with the layering do you off set the beat one step behind one step in front or do you keep on the same step and mess with the distortion and volume, etc?

I just work like this:
- I choose a snare
- If it's too thin I layer a punchyer snare
- If it's too short I layer a longer one with enough snap
- If it sounds low-fi, I add a crisp sounding snare

And I repeat all steps as much as needed to get the desired result...
