i know a few things about copyright laws,
like you can do what ever the hell you want with a
guy's song if he has been dead for 50years,
and you cant copyright the actual paturn of a drum
beat. but i need to know if online music shop
publishing will protect me from copyright
infrinement or not...

who here has been reading ur law books lately?

when i try to read legal info i get REALY frustrate and
overwealed because [1]: im dislexic and have a
weekness for technical learning and instruction
[2]: GOD DAMIT
[3]: i cant seem to find the right info anywere.

thanks 4 any imput at all !

Well, it depends where u are from because laws are different from country to country. As for Belgian legislation I think u wil be able to find most of the things u need to know on : http://www.sabam.be and http://www.poppunt.be

About publishing in an online music shop: legally it doesn't make any difference wether u publish your music on discs pressed from used toilet paper, a nice vinyl/tape/CD, a fancy DVDA/SACD, or over the internet.

Not exactly. You can do with it what you want if it was written 50 years ago (well, published might be a better point of mesurement acually), the artist may even still be alive.

Does that suck for Will Tura or what Big Grin
