i never heard the pervious version but this song is realy good! i like those female vocals to! (girls girls grils B'O... )
sounds clean and slighty dry if you know what i mean.
if you want a less clean sound.. like thicker, try using layered main instruments and a slight delay effect over all of them, not that you have to do that, you can just leave them as is.
what program did you use to make this with?
because if you made it with FL-Studio or if you even have FL-Studio and know how to export a wave file in FL then i wanna do somthing for you. just send me the flp or a wav or the main drum beat. i wanna make some solos and aultered versions of the beat.
dont be afraid of song steeling though cause i only wanna help with the beat, i dont want an editabel version of the whole song, and you cant legaly copyright the paturn of a drum beat by itself anyways so dont worry about that. i just feel that drum aulterations and solos are one of my streingths and think that i may be able to help you. just a simple short wav of the main beat would probably be good enough. send me a PM if your interested.
oh, and about the song,
not perticularily my taste or style but as far as clean quality and detail i give it a 4.3/5
keep up the good work!
__ Wow, i was feeling pritty bad there 10/18/2004, but when a person is under an emotional extream error is sure to soon fallow.

oh, and make the kick drum about 9% louder in the frequencys above 350hz, and make the freiquencys of the main hats 8% less loud in the frequecyt range of 9 to 16 kHz, but boost 5through7kHz volume amount by 5% and increase the volume of the rim shot by 12%, and,..... jeeze i gotta go listen to it again....
but anyways these are just sugestions i had to make the frequenceys more ballenced, im sort of guessing, i didnt run the song through a spectrum analizer, im just going by ear.
EDIT:
also boost the higher frequencys of the snare a bit more and give it its own little bit of reverb so that it will stand out and sound nice and fresh, but only a little bit of reverb and dont make it last too long.
i love what you did with the synth arps
maybe add a 1/1 shaker in the main and full part of
the song to give it a more rapid sound, but make the shaker short (the wav or sample should be short, not to long.)
maybe play a highpass ride along with the crash to make it sound batter, or run the crash through a vocoder and make the modulater the crash, but make a carrier with a low mix level to fallow it.
make this carrier using a static generator coupled with a sine wave then use a ring modulator on the sine wave at the correct frequency....
these are my other ideas as regards improvement,
i hope it helped!

clean and bouncy. it sounds better with the sub in the intro. something seems missing from the beat. maybe add more cymbals or something.
nice one

All right, finally i came back with sone reviewing...
Really like this tune. Everething is quite balanced - mastering is in level. Like the melody much. Tune structure is good also. FX's here and there - good.
Nice usage of delay & reverb effects. Maybe a should be a bit louder, dunno exact. Man great work, i'm becoming your fan!

Most has been said already: quality production! Clean sound, warm bass, punchy drums, crisp hats, enough variation...
4/5
