thats right, i need a dB VST very much,
the one that FL-Studio comes with wont display true output levels or aclowlage master volume levels, and that just plain sucks! i need a good vst or DXI that will scann the dB levels presicely,

until now i used the FL-Montor and the normalize function in my wave editor.
by the way, when you use "normalize" in a wave editor will its limit of volume be 0dB ???
my wave editor wont show dB levels i dont think....
so thats why im asking.

0dB is indeed the max volume, everything higher will clip.

Dunno which VST's to use for that though...

Normally, yes but check your wave editor's helpfile if u want to be absolutely sure. Don't know any vst's either, but using a wave editor seems like a good method to me.

Inspector vst

shows detailed the output dB, but also frequency spectrum of the wave. I use it on the master to see what's going on for eq etc. Looks like the winamp meter thing, but more accurate. And as said, a normal dB meter is set on the right.

ayway, it's a freeware plugin, inspector

hope it helps

Jup tried it too, & its much better than what I had anyway. The clipping indicator is very usefull & the spectrum analyser is certainly much better than the one I previously used.

I downloaded this too, and it's pretty good. its pretty easy to use, and you can see when you should lower the volume of something (at least thats what i use it for)
