DJ STRETCH (Reinforced, Tom & Jerry - UK)
DJ Stretch has been DJ’ing and producing Jungle/Drum & Bass music for over 20 years with Reinforced, Tom and Jerry and various other labels.
He started spinning in local clubs and house parties. Soon after Stretch was introduced to 4Hero at Reinforced Records.
His massive interest in production lead to the infamous jungle anthem & club favourite titled 'Worries in da Dance', which was first played at the legendary AWOL club and signed to DJ Ron’s label A London Someting Records.
Stretch got introduced to the whole scene shortly after and became a resident at AWOL and some of London’s best Jungle nights & venues; Jungle Mania, Telepathy, London Someting, Morning After, Thunder & Joy, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric & The End Club.
Continuing with his production Stretch went on to remix other artists tracks like the seminal Firefox’s ‘Warning’, Tom & Jerry’s ‘Maximum Style’ General Degree 'Papa Lover' and teamed up with DJ Ron to remix Rebel MC & Top Cat’s ‘Champion DJ’. Going on to set up his own imprint labels Rinsing Records & A-KO Records (now AKO Beatz) focusing on his own productions and helping showcase up and coming talent.
DJ Stretch was an integral member of the Reinforced Records family supporting the likes of 4Hero, DJ’ing for them world-wide all cross the UK & Europe, Japan, and the USA. playing Jungle/Drum & Bass music..
At Ruffskool DJ Stretch will bring back the legendary vibes from the early and mid-nineties jungle era.!
DJ TRAX (Moving Shadow, Outsider - UK)
DJ Trax started drumming at the age of 7 and in the late 80's formed a hip hop band called Mixrace together with drum & bass pioneer Paradox.
In 1991 he releases his first track in the UK on the legendary Brain Records run by Bizzy B.
UK based record label Moving Shadow at the forefront of the UK jungle/drum & bass scene in the early 90's signed DJ Trax also in 1991.
He released various 12" singles under DJ Trax . His EP 'Time Will Tell' from 1993 is a true landmark in the UK hardcore scene.
During the 90's he collaborated with Paradox (Brown + Dangerman) and Hyper On Experience and released a dozen of 12"s on various labels.
DJ Trax founded his own record labels in 1994 like Stronghold, Mixrace Productions, Offset and Mobhanded to name but a few, loved by many.
Late 90's tot early 2000 his focus was mainly on downbeat/leftfield music releasing on LTJ Bukem's legendary Goodlooking label.
From 2003 on DJ Trax was responsible for quality drum & bass releases on labels like Outsider Music, Paradox Music, OSR, Subvert Central, and his own label Audio Buffet.
He has worked together with US Hip Hop group Assorted Anonymous and has done music for many TV and multimedia projects.
DJ Trax also delivered tracks for the film Shifty.
DJ Trax, resident DJ from the very first Ruffskool party in 2007 comes with an uplifting selection of 90's jungle breakbeats mixed and scratched to please every crowd.
