Please check out my new track 'frenchinese (feat. céline ) ' and post your comments here!!!
new track- only thing I'm still worried about is the bass, is it too silent or is it just fine???
used to contain copyrighted samples but my girlfriend "contributed" ( she doesn't know, will inform her... ) vocals so they are perfectly clear...
she says: s'il te plait stijn, dis-moi ce que c'est...
gorgeous... (L)

I'm not really surprised nobody reviewed this yet since it is such a weird track.
A lot of the sounds are very original, some of them remind me of the DX7, the famous FM synth from the eighties, while others are just ring modulated distorted mayhem. Takes some getting used to.
Nice sweeping background sounds, Nice use of effects, the placement of the effects on the voice is cool, really gives it a sense of space.
On the first listen I was expecting a more regular dance oriented track and I didn't like the first melody very much (especially the fast part in the last 4 bars, eg between 0:46 and 0:49), but as the track progressed it became clear that this is very experimental music and that it fits very well.
The balance is lacking in the low mid, there is only a sub in the low end, try filling it up with something, a low pad wouldn't be bad.
Also I have the impression that the track falls on its arse sometimes, some long parts with not much going on except the break and the bass (eg between 1:50 and 2:30), if you could put a couple of weird sounds in there and some crazy break cuts it would be more interesting.
Also try to break up the voice a bit more, keep eg two parts of around a minute without the voice, now it is really repeating too much.
It's a very difficult style to make good music in I think, it's a nice effort but isn't interesting enough overall to make a lasting impression.

nice ideas the intro: vox works good rythems, sounds could use some tweeking to get right . drop:very nice but then falls flat shortly after. drums have there moments but could use some more variation.
good work just more variation. try adding little things every other 16 bars. instead of 32 bars of the same programming repeating you have a relief sound to distract and prepare the listener for the next set of programming.
nice to hear something different. keep it up.

After listening to a few tracks on this site, this track finally got my attention. I'm definitely feeling the direction and vibe. The drumssound great and well mixed. My only negative crit. echo Chronic in that it could use some more details sprinkled about to keep it interesting. and Celine does sound great- maybe just a little less. Great track, looking forward to hearing some more.

Experimental indeed.
Drums sound nice, liking the bassline
Good work on the vocal too, but maybe you overused it a bit?
A bit too repetetive in some parts but indeed good, intresting efford.
3/5

sorry man, but i gotta rate it a 2 because it sounded weird to and not realy sellable.
sorry....
but on a more posative note, i did see the skill that
was put into this and i must say, more variation and variety in main instrumens and rythum would produce results that have never been seen before, i think that you should PM me after you make your next track because i realy wanna see what you cook up next, it may be realy cool.
__ Wow, i was feeling pritty bad there 10/18/2004, but when a person is under an emotional extream error is sure to soon fallow.

what is she saying?
the drum beat is great. the bass almost doesnt sound like its comin through enough. the layering in it is very good. doesnt really make me bounce as much as i thought it would but the break is nice. very techy music....
very techy
