Saw The Doors (1991), Buffalo Soldiers (2001, but released in 2003) and The Itallian Job (2003) this weekend. Had a great time with all of them.
The Doors has an impressive performance by Val Kilmer, which lifts the whole movie beyond averadge.
Buffalo Soldiers had some really hilarious scenes, and wasn't your bog standard patriotic army movie at all
I think thisone is more like the real stuff
You should really go see thisone!
The Itallian Job was just great fun. Good acting, quite smart script and stylish cinomatography made this not so spectacular story worth seeing all the way.

saw the italian job also this sunday. great movie, but got the feeling it was more of a good commercial for mini coopers. (i think that was the hole idea behind the original one ?) ). Best thing about the movie is that it gives you some time to talk to the girl ur with

You are probably right. But when it first came out it was original fighting and shit, also i really like the game. When i was young i used to watch that film all the time. It was the first film i saw where they had like fucked fireballs and ice and shit like that. Since i am already posting i'll add some more films:
Eazy Rider! (don't think anyone said that one yet)
StormRiders(fucking awesome, must see)
Goldfinger(my fav bond)
Being john malkovich
Horror in the attic
the BLOB(anyone remember that one?)
oh yeah, invasion of the body snatchers!
Predator I
Barber of Siberia
all at the mo. |
Being John Malkovitch is really good, and very funny

Wanted to buy Moulin Rouge on DVD last week but they only had the French spoken version in the shop
So I bought Taxi I & II and LOTR I & II instead and rented Moulin Rouge again. Must have seen that movie already 15 times

Erm, most DVDs have multiple audiotracks, 99.9% include the original (that is English in this case) audiotrack. I think it would be VERY weird if that track wasn't available!!!

Went to the Filmfestival in Ghent this weekend. Saw these movies:
Buddy: 8/10
Seems like I only like European feel-good movies. Thisone is quite nice.
The Company: 7/10
Nice demonstration of the ballet scene, but virtually no story. Good if you only go for the visuals.
Nackt: 6/10
Fun idea, but could have been executed better. Ending was a bit too predictable.
Hero: 8/10
Good story, good acting and GREAT visuals. The only problem was that there was something wrong with the tempo. Otherwise this would have been the next Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Paule und Julia: 7/10
Quite good for a debut by a film student but felt like he did everything by the book instead of trying to be creative. Not bad tho.
Sex: Female: 7/10
Cool documentary. Had some great laughs. Nothing new tho. And some aspects of female sexualism could have been digged more into.
Last Party 2000: 7/10
Not the next Bowling for Columbine but a good efford. Sometimes hard to follow for us Europeans coz we don't know everything or everyone they're referring to.
