I actually hate the Mummy movies. They suck big time imo. Bad story worse special effects, and, oh god, the acting is about the worst I've ever seen. Directing and editing could have used some help too!
Bah!

For once I have to disagree with Airfull, I really hated The Mummy. It was a big hype so I went to see it in the cinema, but I hated every minute of it. Cliche cliche...
Did anyone see Being John Malkovitch?? That's a great one IMO

uhm
i'm gonna update my top x of movies
A-films (high budget movies):
Lord Of The Rings Trilogy (didn't see the third part yet but i'm already ensured it'll be massive)
Ocean's Eleven (what a movie ! what a script, which is actually based on the script of "Sneakers" with hmm don't remember his name ...)
Matrix (the first one, i really think this was a good movie)
Pulp Fiction (no explanation needed i guess)
The Watcher (bit like the bone collector, was released earlier tho i think, nice thriller !)
B-Films (low budget):
Mandura (a movie +- 30 mins, from two guys of my school, it's really really ! great)
Bowling For Columbine (Michael Moore, what can I say)
Polyester (one of the sickest movies i saw yet, overdone acting, black & white, the whole OH THE DRAMA cliche mixed up in one movie, 1 2 C !!!!)
Pink Flamingo (an image of the dirtyness of the world as it is today, absolutely amazing, and quite sick too ! from the same director as Polyester; John Waters)
Il Postino (well, actually i really don't like to watch it because it's not my type of films, but it just IS so much quality, better recognize !)

No disrespect or anything, but, this is eather due to your age or to your lack of movie watching.
Ocean's Eleven: ok-film but top 5?
The Matrix: ^ idem
The Watcher: Ow come on, this movie isn't even worth mentioning in a top 1000. There are way better thriller's then this.
Sorry man, I know "degustibus..." but when I saw this I had to reply

I thought you'd be saying this
that's why i said A-films, or high budget movies aka hollywood minded movies aka movies where you just put your brain on zero and just watch
I can think of not quite much high budget movies who I really like to watch for the quality of the movie ... (okay, maybe yes, but i ment the movies out of the recent stable ... elsewhise:
Godfather
2001 Space Odessey
Crossroads (the one from 1986, NOT the britney movie
)
Cheech & Chong (THE ultimate premiere of the stonermovie, but i think this one's really good !)
Pulp Fiction // Jackie Brown
Lost Highway ....
but most of these don't rely on millions of dollars, and that what I was talking about)
about my serious "lack" of movie watching ... well i think my B-film top 5 throws your argument in the garbage can
n/o tho
(gotta love it)
