Hey guys. For years I have been ensuring that my pre-master tracks are not limited in any way - i.e. just reducing the volume of the master out on the main output. I leave the limiting for the mastering engineer.
Watched a Delta Heavy tutorial where they said that they have the project limiting while they are mixing and tweak the levels accordingly. I also recall in another article that Rob Swire has a limiter on the main out at the start of a project and just mixes around the limiting.
Would be interested to hear what others do...
