Hey.

http://soundcloud.com/orgonotic/orgonoti...us_quarkage-v16

Changed the kick and snare samples becasue they needed too much EQ and compression to sound meaty. Probly done about 40 hours on this track since version 9. Mostly wasting time trying to make kick and snares out of different samples mixed together, EQ ect. It was driving me nuts! lol. Its one of those things where you either learn that by somone showing you in real time how to do it, or you spend 1000's of hours with trial and error.

I was using a drum loop as a test, to try and get my kicks n snares sounding that loud and professional. And thankfully it was a loop i had the construction kit for, so just took the kick out of there!.. That kick actually sounds worse if you try and do any EQ at all on it becasue its already been made so well lol.

EQd the hats and the like to make them sound less tinny, and got rid of some nasty frequencies in some of the other tracks.

All in all, im starting to be quite happy with the sound - happier anyways ; )
Thanks to everyone whos given advice so far, its much apreciated.

Cheers.

You did a good job on mixing kicks and snares, they sound nice. Not too smashy which is good for this tune.
Tune could use a bit more variation and a stronger drop (or a lighter intro) intro and drop are too much alike.
Nice tune though!

Thanks.

Been trying to make a new intro, not going so well atm lol. Maybe il try beefing up the main bit instead. I agree they sound a bit too similar. Been trying to replace the hat and shaker type loops for my own ones made from individual hits aswell.
