Hey,
I've played in a band b4 we did punk and 2 b honest the scene didnt really agree wiv me, i was completly shy the entire time. I think this was because i was like 14 and everyone else was 18-20+
now when i was a kid my sisters always played dnb - i got back into it listening to blackmarket live sets, so inspired by the mcs i started doing it and fucking about. I remember the first time i did it infront of like my group of close friends - they liked it. Whenever im drunk or were gettin fucked up people wanna hear it and i always think they're playing when i get respect. I am my own worst enemy as in im a very very harsh critic of myself and i think if im at all shy or not into gettin on that stages its gotta show - i have to project all my energy and all my confidence and take control. No matter what u look like or whatever people will think u gotta do it cos u live once and the chance is coming along for me.... I jus suppose this topics about other mcs experiance of nerves and if it refelected in their experiance
has any one emceed on xtc, i have and sometimes its amazing cos u get all ur words out wiv perfect clarity and u have a huge vocab but other times its like ur actually a piece of shit..... LOL

being shy + havin' a lot of criticism towards your own style means you're always willing to progress, lookin' to improve yourself... so that's all good...
'bout the xtc question: I never did pills (except for some herbal products) so I wouldn't know... But what I do know is that your state of mind can be elevated or troubled by any kinda drug (Alcohol, weed, dust, pills, ...) So you never know what's about to happen... and as an mc you have to perform, so It all comes down to skills, not drugs...

You're right; I do smoke and drink on stage: but I keep in mind I have to perform... If and mc is piss drunk or high as fuck, he won't deliver quality rhymes... Same goes for dj's... So; smoke, drink, do what you like, but always* focus on the performance!

I think its stupid to take pills to have a better performance .
Its just the same with beer .You only think youre better ...
But hey , who am I to say whats stupid and whats not .I never took pills .I used the herbal thing for a long time but stopped with .Now i only drink sometimes .Im a wanker

I see no prob in that, i.e. Maurice Engelen (front-man of Lords Of Acid, Praga Khan, co-founder Antler Subway) is in fact a rather shy person, but when performing before an audience he completely changes...

That seems to be the case with a lot of artists. In real life they are calm and rather shy, but once they get on stage...

I think ppl kinda missed my point i was making. I was shitting it just about gettin up infront of alot of ppl... cant anyone releate wiv that? Like if u do something crap ur gunna get burnt bad - but now i dont care.
