I'm sad to announce that I will close down dnbbe soon. The server is now very old and needs a major overhaul, and I don't have the time or motivation to do this anymore.
The sad truth is that the site is showing it's age and most of the producers have long left for better and more modern sites. This shows in the lack of tracks that are being uploaded, and the small amount of forum posts. On the other hand even though the site has been getting fewer visitors the number of spammers has dramatically increased, up to the point that we now have several hundreds of spam registrations per week. This has been taking its toll and I now no longer think it is worthwhile to keep the site online.
I had the idea to get rid of all the mp3's, sample packs etc and then move the forum to a cheap VPS, but even this would take me many hours of work which I really can't spare at the moment.
It has been a wonderful time, it's incredible that the site has lasted this long, it's been online for a decade now and many great discussions have been held, and a huge amount of excellent music has been shared. I'd like to thank all members for the awesome time we had, and a huge thanks goes out to Surya, Muad'Dib and the other moderators, and especially Battledrone who has single handedly kept the site alive for the last couple of years.
So long guys, it's been a blast, hope to see you all some time again on the wide internet!

It has been part of my digital living space for 7 years.
I learned a lot on here and met interesting people.

After reviewing 2265 tunes I feel like I'm not even half way.
Soundcloud really didn't do any good to this site, but the kind of feedback you get there is just so bad for producers, it doesn't help at all.

Ahhh shit what a sad moment. I uploaded a bunch of tunes here some years ago and got tons of great reviews and replies. I met some cool people on here and heard some great tracks, so I'm sad to see it go. ): All good things must come to an end though, I suppose. I'm gonna miss visiting here. Good luck to all of the producers who are building their career and made this site a part of it. Definitely been a great run! (:
Sad times, this site was a massive influence to me as I was growing up, teaching me a lot about production and giving me inspiration. It's sad but the age of forums has come to an end.

Man i grew up on this site, almost crying here, thnx for al the good times and moments you gave me, for all the constructive criticism, drumnbass.be stays a legend for me, the site that provided me a lot of music loving friends.
Although it was rather quiet lately, it's a massively helpful and interesting place!
Hate to see it go, so many talent here I felt unworthy of posting any tracks for a long time!

These are weird times.
- Fabio & Grooverider quit their show last week after 14 years of coolness on BBC radio1 and later on 1Xtra.
- Metalheadz reach release 100 and will stop doing only DnB and go for other tempos as well.
- This site comes to an end...
Does anyone know an alternative to this site? Something cosy and friendly (not DOA) which is all about DnB and dubstep production?

Functionality is all there, and peeps can link to their soundcloud's/mixcloud/youtubes etc.. with minimal work from you.
I'd be up for joining that- and I know a lot of other guys who would too and that would keep .be alive and kicking.....
When I read this I figured it would be bad not to thank the folks of this community for the help which I received when I began my musical making journey.
I will deffo be sad to see the first community I joined go as it offered me so much on the start of my path. X peace, love and wisdom x

A very sad day indeed , some great advice given here . I am guilty of not posting to much of late I know soundcloud is massively to blame but what about a . Be account on there most of us use it and at least u know what kind of ppl your getting feed back from . Just an idea:/
Met some great people here had some good debates/ arguments haha , don't know what forum I'm going to use now if any . Biggup everyone on here for helping me your all legends .
