Ok, maybe a basic question. If I listen to professional dnb, especially neurofunk (kung, billian, maztek, etc.) I hear in there drum loops sort of sidesound (extra percussion) It's like this:
Kick - snare - sort of drum fast drum roll - snare

I've tried to listen carefully, but never I become something as good as thing
Searching patterns on internet hasn't helped to much.
I feel really challenged to say: "well, then you are not professional"
It's all about layering (parts of) percussion(breaks) onto the rest of the drums.
I made about a 1000 breaks by now and I'm still learning.

then listen , samp the break and start work on it ( chop chop )
then you must put your main drum on it...what daw are you ?
