who's using logic?
pro's / contra's ???
diecast unit has chance to record in a studio with logic as main software instead of pro tools ...
would you do that ???
or is it best suitable for electronic music and loopbased music?
tell me what yall think...

hey,
I use logic 4.7 on mac and I worked with 5.1 on PC.
I think logic Is the best sequencer ( multitracker, EQ'er,...).
I have experienced Reason 2.0, 2.5 ; cubase sx, ableton and fruity loops(worst).
Logic is the best because i think its very user-friendly and competable with pro tools.
the only negative sight is the price. thets why i run still a 4.7 version, and would like to have the 6 version on osx.
it just gots what it takes for me!!!
cheers

Well, I guess that this is only your personal oppinioon, cause I think that FruityLoops has the easiest User Interface, and one of the best EQs and mixers.
But that is, also, only my personal thought.

Pro-tools is based around the integration of lots of hardware, and more specific the use of a direct multiple recording platform. It's not exactly something that you'd like to have at home, because it's way 'too' professional. We're all 'bedroom'-producers here and logic, fruityloops, reason, cubase (whatever you think you feel most comfortable with) is more thatn sufficient.
But if you're playing/recording in a band and you wanna have total control over the inputs, editing, then protools can help you out, that's for sure.

I've tried several programs too, and I agree with u on this one -at least for home use-, don't have any experience with studio environments.
