Ok just thinking.....

Ive heard in alot of tech itch past tracks he has very heavy amen breaks, also hear it in Donny - Life as fills between the main kick and snare.

How is this created?

Layered amen breaks?

Is alot of eq and distortion used?

Are some of them pitch shifted?

Any help with technique would be great

It's trial and error I think.
heavy distortion is an option, but don't overdo it.
There's some really good amen packs out there with a lot of heavy stuff in it.
They are a good starting point.

mmm sounds interesting to me.

yes i found that a little saturation/distortion works nice and also the layering of 2-3 breaks
