Distinction proudly presents the first instalment on his new label, Music Of Distinction.
Acknowledged by BBC Radio One legend Mary Anne Hobbs for “pioneering the sound up in the North” Distinction has played a key role as one of the contributing factors for the initial growth and widespread of Dubstep’s foundations in the UK. He is an original & definite member of arguably the most well established Dubstep label, Dub Police as run by Dubstep titan Caspa. He has also had releases on various labels alongside artists such as Skream, Benga, Digital Mystikz & many more of today’s biggest & most successful producers. His new label is to be an outlet to showcase his versatility as a producer and a platform of expression for his own productions.
MOD 001 incurs two pieces of music that infuse the retro sounds of classic 1980s sound creation with abrasive bass and emotion evoking melodic motions. “Only The Ghost Will Listen” entails an array of epic computerized components devised in spacious and definitive sound design paraded through the lustrous projections of the Korg Legacy. For “No Reason” Distinction teams up with Manchester based producer Chimpo to deliver a robust robotic bass rendition of 2 Step swing accompanied by sparkling spirals of synthesis & a side tracking section of cinematic symphony.
