Gentle compression, absolutely no distortion (it sounds very clean), roll off the high end a bit to take out the shiny bits, the snare doesn't sound muffled so there's just enough hi end. If needed layer a tiny bit of a short conga hit or something like it on top of the attack to get a good punch.
