z.electric Debut EP - Out now on iTunes
London’s eclectic z.electric are the bright new lights of live dance music. Now, a taste of their but-kicking live vibe is being pressed into digital format for takeaway consumption.
Comprised of an international mix of musicians from New Zealand, England and France, z.electric started out as an informal jam session in south London. Their live shows began at an inauspicious house party, and have since become a feature at venues all over the capital. Driven by the multi-instrument wielding Ed Cubitt, Phill Smith and Mel Borsack, z.electric have reforged the path back onto the stage for live dance music. z.electric recently teamed up with vocalist Kamelia Tebiband went into the studio to record their debut EP featuring the following tracks
“Nobody” - Aggressive electro-pop which is responsible for my lack of romance
“Sun– up" - A blend of punchy drum and bass, poetry and pianos
“South bank” - Dnb featuring the twin boss-clarinets
The EP also features a dub remix of “south bank” by the prodigious New Zealand dub talent that is dubterminator.
