Vocal in the intro seems quite loud.

Wow, nice drums, liking em Big Grin

Make the extra layer (rimshot like) a bit more varied with ghosthits, it's a bit too straight now...

Vocals in the breakdown are too loud again.

Hoover sounds nice, but the melody is a bit dull...
The other melody that goes with it is nice though.

You're really making progres, especially in the drums department, great. But your melodies still need a lot of work.

2.5/5

Wow I was impressed by this tune, your production quality improves with every track you make, keep it up!! Big Grin

Like Surya said the drums sound really good, nice programming and sample selection. The kick drum sounds Shocked and the other drum sounds fit in really well.

I think it's funny you programmed the first half of the closed hihat pattern in a way that imitates some typical dnb drumloops which have been overcompressed, causing the hihat to be dropped because the kick drum drives the compressor. You get the effect that the hihat disappears when the kick plays, which is exactly how you programmed it. Probably this was not intentional but IMO it's a nice touch Wink

Second hihat pattern really fills up the first one and makes the break roll, good!!

Snare can be a bit more powerful imo, can be sorted by boosting the eq a bit around 200-400 Hz and making it a tiny bit louder.

The soft short buzz sound melody in the background which is present from the very start of the song sounds nice too, and has a very good rhythm and progressive buildup.

Good use of reverb.

The layering is good too, the sounds are all seperated really well and take their place in the frequency spectrum. Stereo wise you can do some more, you have some stereo movement on the dark pad, but all the rest is more or less in the middle. Especially the marimba sound (2:34) can have every note placed in a different spot in the stereo image, try that! If you then also vary the amount of reverb on every note, along with the loudness, you can make it sound like it is played in 3D all around you, closer (louder + less reverb) and further away (softer + more reverb).

Voice is nice (is it yours??), but perhaps spoken a bit too fast. Cool accent Big Grin
It is also noticeable that the second person ("You'll see...") is the same as the first person, but just pitched down Big Grin Maybe find somebody else to speak this part?
It's great that you are recording your own speech samples, a good example that you don't need to sample other people's work and possibly get copyright trouble when you want to release the track.

The melodies have improved much over your earlier work, they are not so static anymore, but they can use a bit of improvement, especially the rave sound gets boring after a while.

In any way I always thought you would improve by time, but I didn't think you would improve so fast Bigup
I wonder how your next track will sound!!!
